Super Eagles fullback Bruno Onyemaechi celebrated his second title with Olympiacos on Sunday, as the Greek champions secured a historic 19th domestic double by defeating OFI Crete 2-0 to claim their 29th Greek Cup.

Olympiacos wasted no time in asserting their dominance at the final as Ayoub El Kaabi scored yet another important goal just nine minutes into the match to put his side ahead.

Ukrainian forward Roman Yaremchuk came off the bench to seal the victory in the dying minutes of the game, capping off a superb counter-attack to end any hopes of a comeback from OFI Crete and secure Olympiacos’ cup success.

Although Bruno Onyemaechi did not start the game, he contributed to the cup triumph by coming on as a substitute for Francisco Ortega in the 89th minute, helping Olympiacos hold onto their one-goal lead before Yaremchuk’s late winner.

The Cup marks another significant milestone for the Nigerian fullback who joined Olympiacos from Boavista in January. In just five months, he has already added two trophies to his collection, having also won the Greek Super League title last month.

With two trophies under his belt, Bruno Onyemaechi will now be focused on solidifying his position as a regular starter and continuing to contribute to Olympiacos’ success in the seasons ahead.
