Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika will be aiming for his 15th UEFA Champions League appearance when Club Brugge hosts Atalanta at the Jan Breydel Stadium on Wednesday. Meanwhile, AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze will be eyeing his fifth goal in the competition.
Club Brugge faces Atalanta in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 playoffs, while AC Milan—favoUrites on paper—take on Dutch side Feyenoord, also on Wednesday.
Onyedika, who has 14 Champions League appearances, all for Brugge, is expected to start once again for the Belgian giants.
His side will have an advantage as Atalanta will be without their star forward, Ademola Lookman, who sustained a knee injury just before their final group-stage match against Barcelona and is set to miss both legs of the playoffs.
Onyedika has one goal and one assist in the Champions League. His only goal came in Brugge’s 3-1 loss to Manchester City recently.

At De Kuip, Chukwueze will make his 19th career Champions League appearance as Milan faces Feyenoord. The Nigerian winger, who netted two Champions League goals with his former team Villarreal and two more since joining Milan, will be looking to add to his tally and help his team advance to the round of 16.
From the 16 teams in the playoffs, eight will progress to the round of 16, joining Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Bayer Leverkusen, Aston Villa, Atletico Madrid, and Lille, who all topped their respective groups.
