Bendel Insurance and Enugu Rangers will battle for a top-four spot when both sides face in their Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) clash at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday.
Since appointing Greg Ikhenoba as head coach, Bendel Insurance have experienced a dramatic upturn in form, going from battling relegation to chasing a continental spot.
Under Ikhenoba’s leadership, the team has achieved remarkable improvement, suffering only one defeat in seven matches as interim coach, and just three losses in 12 games as the permanent coach.

Bendel Insurance’s performances in recent months have increased their hopes of making the top-four as they currently sit seventh with 45 points, two points away from Shooting Stars who are fourth.
Bendel Insurance will however face the challenge of defeating a determined Enugu Rangers’ side who will be eager to bounce back after two consecutive losses to Nasarawa United and Plateau United.
The defending champions have only won two games away from home this season, but they will be motivated by their performance in the corresponding fixture, having defeated “The Benin Arsenal” 3-2 in November 2024.
A win for either side will take them into the top-four pending the NPFL games on Sunday when Shooting Stars will host Ikorodu City in another highly-anticipated clash.
