Plymouth Argyle manager Miron Muslic has confirmed that Nigerian striker Muhamed Tijani has resumed personal training sessions and is on the verge of returning to action.
Tijani joined Plymouth on loan from Czech side Slavia Prague in the summer, but his time in England has been plagued by injuries, limiting him to just eight appearances across all competitions.
His latest setback came in February when he suffered a hamstring injury, ruling him out of Plymouth’s FA Cup clash against Premier League side Manchester City—a match they lost 3-1.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of their next league fixture against Derby County on Saturday, Muslic provided an update on the 24-year-old’s recovery.

“Positive news on Muhamed Tijani—he is already doing his first sessions outside. Adam (Randell) is allowed to play after the international break.”
Tijani was brought in to help Plymouth maintain their Championship status, but his prolonged absence has severely impacted the team’s attacking options. As a result, they currently sit at the bottom of the league, three points adrift of safety.
He’s scored just once for the club in all competitions. At the end of the season, he will hope to stay fit and help the club avoid relegation.
