Super Eagles winger Moses Simon is set to make his 200th appearance for Nantes as they take on Auxerre in a must-win Ligue 1 encounter at the Stade de l’Abbé Deschamps on Saturday.
Moses Simon made his debut for Nantes on August 24, 2019, during his loan spell from Levante. He marked the occasion by scoring the winning goal in a 2–1 away victory against Amiens after coming off the bench in the 73rd minute. He was eventually named the club’s Player of the Season after playing a key role in helping them secure a 13th-place finish in Ligue 1.
Impressed by his performances, Nantes signed the Nigerian winger on a permanent deal, and he continued his remarkable form with the club, registering 11 goal contributions in 33 appearances and playing a vital role in helping the team narrowly avoid relegation.

This season, Moses Simon has once again stood out in an otherwise underwhelming campaign for Nantes, contributing seven goals and nine assists. Despite his efforts, the Canaries have managed just 35 goals — the fourth lowest in the league.
Moses Simon will thus be aiming to mark his 200th appearance for the club in memorable fashion, as he looks to inspire Nantes to a crucial win over 10th-placed Auxerre, who currently have 41 points.
Nantes will draw motivation from their performance in the corresponding fixture, where they claimed a 2-0 victory courtesy of an early goal from Moses Simon and a late finish by Bahereba Guirassy to secure all three points.

A victory against Auxerre would be important for Nantes as they battle to avoid slipping into the relegation playoff zone. With only a single point separating them from that precarious spot, securing all three points not only boosts their survival chances but also provides a morale lift at a critical stage of the season.
