AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface, according to reports from Italy.

The Rossoneri are eager to bounce back after a disappointing 2024/25 season that saw them finish eighth in Serie A, missing out on all European competitions.

Milan managed just 18 wins in 38 league games, suffering 11 losses, and will be looking to rebuild under newly appointed veteran manager Massimiliano Allegri.

With heavy competition expected from the likes of Juventus, Inter Milan, Atalanta, and reigning champions Napoli, Milan are keen to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

According to Italian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Boniface is open to a move, and the club has already begun discussions with his representatives.

“Victor Boniface is in talks with AC Milan,” Tavolieri wrote on X. “The Nigerian striker has opened the door to a permanent move to the Rossoneri, and initial discussions have already taken place. Bayer Leverkusen could consider a departure this summer.”

Despite being under contract with Leverkusen until 2028, the Nigerian had previously expressed his desire to stay and compete for a starting role against Czech striker Patrick Schick, especially under new manager Erik ten Hag.

The 24-year-old striker was also linked to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr in January, with reports suggesting he had agreed to join before the club ultimately signed Colombian forward Jhon Duran instead.

Boniface played a crucial role in Xabi Alonso’s side that famously won the 2023/24 Bundesliga title unbeaten and continued to impress in the following season before a long-term injury sidelined him.

Last season, despite injury setbacks, Boniface scored 11 goals and provided two assists across all competitions.
