Malawian ref appointed for Eagles, Libya clash in Uyo

Malawian referee Godfrey Philip Nkhakananga has been appointed to officiate Friday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Libya’s Mediterranean Knights at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

Joining Nkhakananga will be fellow Malawians Clemence Kanduku and Joseph Nyauti as assistant referees, while Keabetswe Dintwa from Botswana will act as the fourth official. The match, part of Matchday 3 of the qualifiers, is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m.

Additional appointments include Munkaila Nassam Adam of Ghana as the match commissioner, with Issaka Boubacar from Niger serving as referee assessor and Mayowa Akingbemisilu as the broadcast venue manager.
