Juventus have begun making moves to bolster their attack ahead of next season, with Atalanta’s Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman emerging as a top target for the Bianconeri.
Lookman, who has been a standout performer for Atalanta over the past two seasons, is attracting interest from multiple European giants.
After struggling in England and Germany, the 26-year-old has found his best form in Italy, consistently delivering goals and assists.
According to Spacio J, Juventus see him as the ideal attacking reinforcement to partner with Kolo Muani, as they aim to strengthen their squad for a title push next season.
While Atalanta have previously been reluctant to sell Lookman, recent tensions between the player and manager Gian Piero Gasperini may open the door for a transfer. Additionally, Lookman himself could be considering a new challenge after three years in Bergamo, having already contemplated an exit last summer.
Juventus are exploring the possibility of lowering Atalanta’s asking price, reportedly around €30 million, by including Argentine forward Nico González in the deal. González, who has struggled to make a significant impact since his move to Turin, could be an attractive option for Atalanta as they seek a replacement for Lookman.
However, Juventus are not the only club monitoring the Nigerian star. French champions Paris Saint-Germain remain interested after a failed pursuit last year and are expected to make another approach. Inter Milan are also keeping a close eye on the situation, though they would likely only make a move if Marcus Thuram were to leave.
Meanwhile, Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool have also been linked, potentially driving up competition for Lookman’s signature.
