The third edition of the Jagaban Cup continued on Tuesday at the Legacy Pitch in Lagos, with Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Ikorodu City securing a narrow 1-0 victory over FC Bethel. The day saw a total of 12 goals scored across four matches, with 36 Lion, Ijebu United, and SGFC also claiming important wins.
Ikorodu City, popularly known as the Oga Boys, earned a hard-fought victory thanks to Ezekiel Samuel, who headed in a precise cross from Super Eagles B right-back Waliu Ojetoye. The win gives Ikorodu City three points from two matches, while FC Bethel remains with one point.
In one of the most thrilling matches of the day, 36 Lion came from two goals down to defeat Broad City 3-2.
Hanif Sanusi gave Broad City the lead, finishing off a well-delivered cross from Istifanus Freedom before doubling his tally with a superb strike past goalkeeper N’bangaly Drame.
However, 36 Lion’s second-half resurgence began with Lawal Oluwaseun’s 48th-minute goal, followed just two minutes later by Abidoye Ibrahim’s stunning long-range equalizer. The comeback was completed when Alex John, a former Future Eagles star, headed in the match-winning goal.
With this result, 36 Lion now has six points from two matches, while Broad City remains on one point.

Ijebu United kept their hopes alive with a 2-1 win over Imperial, as both teams now sit on three points after two matches.
Onyemaechi Uchechukwu opened the scoring for Ijebu United in the ninth minute with a volley inside the box. In the 25th minute, Ekeh Emmanuel delivered a well-weighted pass to Benedict Achi, who lifted the ball over goalkeeper Kator Daniel to double the lead.
Imperial pulled one back late in the match through Raphael Ugede, who finished off an assist from Kingsley Elijah, but it was not enough to salvage a point.
SGFC continued their fine form with a 2-1 win against Dino SC, earning six points from two matches.
Dino SC took an early lead through Obudu Samuel, who calmly slotted past goalkeeper Daniel Sodje. However, Okwuosa Chukwudi responded with a well-taken lob to level the score for SGFC.
The decisive moment came when Ayodeji Ezekiel rose highest to head in the match-winner, securing all three points for SGFC.
