Alex Iwobi’s strikes against Everton and Wolves have been shortlisted for Fulham’s 2024–25 Goal of the Season award.

Iwobi’s goal against Everton came in the 1-1 draw at Goodison Park in October. The Nigerian midfielder opened the scoring against his former club but Beto’s last minute goal snatched a late point for the Toffees.

His goal against Wolves was a beauty to behold, as he recieved a pass from Kenny Tete and curled a left-footed shot into the net to put Fulham ahead. The Cottagers however, went on to lose 4-1 in that encounter, with new Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha stealing the headlines with two goals and an assist.

Overall, Alex Iwobi enjoyed an outstanding season, playing a key role in Fulham’s historic campaign as they recorded their highest-ever points total in Premier League history with 54 points.

Personally, the Nigerian midfielder came close to reaching double figures for the first time in his career. He netted his ninth league goal against Chelsea but couldn’t add to his tally in the final five matches, finishing the season with a commendable nine goals and six assists.
