Galatasaray’s delegation are set to meet directly with Napoli’s hierarchy today as they look to finalise a permanent deal for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, Bold Sports reports.

The Turkish champions are determined to bring the Super Eagles star back to Istanbul following a stellar loan spell last season where he won the hearts of supporters and the management alike.

The Istanbul giants have submitted a €75 million bid that matches Osimhen’s release clause. However, the proposal includes a five-year payment structure, which could complicate negotiations with the Italian club.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray’s negotiating team includes George Gardi and club vice president Abdullah Kavukcu. Their objective is clear — strike an agreement with Napoli and immediately schedule medicals for Osimhen, who has already agreed to personal terms on a three-year contract running until June 2028, with the option for an additional year.

Osimhen is reportedly eager to make a permanent return to Galatasaray after a successful debut season, where he helped the club win both the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup.

Despite the striker’s desire to return to Turkey, Napoli are leaning toward a more straightforward proposal from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, who are ready to pay the full release clause in a single installment. Al Hilal also remain actively engaged with Osimhen’s camp in an effort to sway his decision.

Meanwhile, several top European clubs — including Manchester United, Juventus, Arsenal, and AC Milan — are closely monitoring the situation. They remain in contact with Osimhen’s representatives and could move for the striker if Galatasaray’s bid falls through.

During his loan spell at Galatasaray, Osimhen delivered an exceptional campaign, scoring 37 goals and providing seven assists. His performances earned him both the Super Lig Golden Boot and the Goal of the Season award, underlining his vital role in Galatasaray’s memorable season.
