Fulham have reportedly turned down a £21.5 million bid from La Liga giants Atlético Madrid for Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi.
According to Africa Foot, Atlético made a surprise move for the Nigerian international following his standout 2024/25 campaign with the Cottagers, where he scored nine goals and provided six assists in 38 appearances.
The report suggests that Atlético manager Diego Simeone is highly impressed with the former Arsenal star and is keen to add him to his squad as they aim to challenge for the La Liga title and other trophies next season. Atlético finished third in La Liga last term, 12 points behind champions Barcelona.

However, according to reports from Fulham-focused news platform, hammyend.com, Fulham have no intention of selling Iwobi, as they hope to build on their impressive season and see him as a key part of their future plans.
In addition to the £21.5 million bid, Atlético are said to have offered Iwobi a four-year contract worth £6 million per year.
Since joining Fulham, Iwobi has scored 15 goals and registered eight assists in 77 appearances. He still has three years remaining on his current contract.
