Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers is set to lead the line for Rangers as they aim to complete a stunning upset against José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe and secure a spot in the UEFA Europa League quarterfinal.
Dessers was instrumental in the first leg, scoring the opener and guiding the Scottish giants to a shocking 3-1 victory at the Ülker Stadium. The Nigerian forward came close to a hat-trick, but VAR ruled out two of his goals for marginal offside calls.
With the second leg set for Ibrox, Rangers will look to finish the job within 90 minutes, leaving no room for a Fenerbahçe comeback.

A win would see them advance to the quarterfinals, keeping their dream of reaching the final for the second time in three seasons alive.
Since Barry Ferguson took charge, Dessers has reclaimed his spot in the starting lineup, repaying the new manager’s trust with goals and standout performances. His form has not gone unnoticed by Mourinho, who is expected to deploy a defender specifically to contain him.
“We are ready for football. We expect Rangers to play the same way. They will expect us to make mistakes, and players like Černý and Dessers will capitalize on counterattacks,” Mourinho said ahead of the match.
