Enyimba, Nigeria’s sole representative in the CAF Confederation Cup, have been drawn in Group D alongside Egypt’s Zamalek and Al Masry, as well as Mozambique’s Black Bulls. The draw took place today in Cairo, Egypt.
The People’s Elephant, as Enyimba are known, secured their spot in the group stage after defeating Etoile Sportive du Sahel 3-2 on penalties, following two goalless legs that lasted 180 minutes.

Enyimba will aim to surpass the performance of Rivers United, Nigeria’s last representative in the competition, who were eliminated by USM Alger in the quarterfinals last season.
Currently second in the Nigeria Premier Football League behind Rivers United, Enyimba are focused on claiming their 10th league title this season.
