Top Serbian basketball club KK Crvena Zvezda have announced the signing of Nigerian center Ebuka Izundu ahead of the 2026 season.
After failing to secure any domestic or continental trophies in the 2025 campaign, Crvena Zvezda are determined to challenge on all fronts next season and have begun strengthening its squad with experienced reinforcements across all positions.
The club officially confirmed the signing of the seasoned Nigerian player, who last featured for Galatasaray in the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi, on Sunday. He had joined Galatasaray last summer.
“Meridianbet Red Star Basketball Club informs the general public that the new member of our team is center Ebuka Izundu,” the club stated.
“One of the best jumpers in the Champions League and the Turkish League has signed a contract with the Red and Whites and will be a major reinforcement at the center position.
“With the arrival of Izundu, Red Star Belgrade has further strengthened its center position and gained an excellent team player, who is expected to show his full potential in his most mature playing years.”

Izundu will join fellow Nigerian and D’Tigers forward Chima Moneke, and he will also have the opportunity to play alongside two other Nigerians — Jordan Nwora and Semi Ojeleye, who are expected to be announced soon.
With these additions, Crvena Zvezda aim to compete strongly in all competitions next season, including the EuroLeague, ABA League, and the Basketball League of Serbia.
It is Izundu’s second stint in Serbia, having formerly represented Košarkaški klub FMP between 2021 to 2023.
