Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers wrapped up his season on a strong note, scoring for the fifth game in a row, while Leon Balogun suffered yet another injury as Rangers drew 2-2 with Hibernian in their final match of the season at Easter Road.
Following a four-game goal drought, Cyriel Dessers rediscovered his form against St. Mirren, scoring in a thrilling 2-2 draw before adding goals against Celtic, Aberdeen, and a brace against Dundee United.
Meanwhile, Leon Balogun sustained a head injury during Rangers’ Europa League quarter-final against Athletic Club but made a comeback to the starting lineup against Celtic, where he played the full 90 minutes, before also starting in the matches against Aberdeen and Dundee United.
Both Dessers and Balogun were in the starting line-up as Rangers sought to secure their third straight victory against Hibernian.
Rangers began the match brightly and took an early lead when Nicolas Raskin picked out Cyriel Dessers in the box before the striker controlled the ball on his chest and smashed a brilliant volley into the net to put the visitors ahead.

However, not long after Leon Balogun was replaced by Robin Propper after he sustained an injury and five minutes later Kieron Bowie equalised for Hibernian, keeping the game level until the end of the first half.
Nicolas Raskin restored Rangers’ lead early in the second half, heading home James Tavernier’s impressive delivery from a corner. But Hibernian refused to back down and equalised once again in the 66th minute through Martin Boyle’s header.
Rangers dominated the rest of the match and created several opportunities in search of a winner, but they couldn’t find the decisive goal, with the game ultimately ending 2-2.
The result sees Rangers end the season with 75 points, while Cyriel Dessers remains the leading goalscorer of the league with 18 goals — two ahead of Daizen Maeda and Simon Murray.
