Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers has retained his €4 million market value, placing him 18th among the most valuable players in the Scottish Premiership according to the latest figures released by football statistics website Transfermarkt.
Dessers’ market valuation reflects a standout campaign at Rangers, where he finished as the Premiership’s top scorer with 18 league goals and amassed an impressive 29 across all competitions, making it his most prolific season since 2016–17 when he recorded 40 goal contributions with NAC Breda.
His rich form carried over into international duty as the 30-year-old opened the scoring in Nigeria’s 2–1 semi‑final win over Ghana at the Unity Cup and provided an assist in the final against Jamaica, playing a key role as the Super Eagles lifted the trophy in London.

Within Rangers, Dessers’ €4 million valuation places him fifth, trailing only Nicolas Raskin (€10 m), Václav Černý (€8 m), Mohamed Diomandé (€8 m), and his strike partner Hamza Igamane (€7 m).
Across the Premiership, Celtic dominate the market-value charts. Japanese forward Daizen Maeda tops the list at €15 million after recording 45 goal contributions in 51 matches, helping Celtic win their 13th league title in 14 seasons. He is followed by teammates Cameron Carter‑Vickers (€14 m), Reo Hatate (€13 m), and both Nicolas Kühn and Arne Angels (€12 m each).
Nicolas Raskin’s €10m value makes him the sixth most valuable in the league, and rounding out the top ten are Alistair Johnson (€10 m), Lennon Miller (€8 m), Václav Černý (€8 m), and Jota (€8 m).
It remains uncertain whether Dessers will continue at Rangers next season. Greek giants AEK Athens have emerged as frontrunners in the race for his signature, with reports suggesting they have agreed personal terms and are preparing a bid in the region of £5 million to secure the 30-year-old’s services ahead of their push to reclaim the Super League title from Olympiacos.
