Crawley Town have announced the departure of Super Eagles defender Benjamin Tanimu, who has completed a permanent move to Moroccan side Maghreb Association Sportive de Fès, Bold Sports reports.
The 22-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Moroccan club, becoming the first addition under the leadership of newly appointed coach Pablo Franco Martin.
Following the transfer, Tanimu took to his official X account to express his gratitude to Crawley Town: “I want to say a very big thank you Crawley Town, my stay was amazing I wish the club success in all their competitions.”
The Nigerian defender also confirmed his move to Morocco and shared his excitement about the next phase of his career: “Life has a way of bringing us full circle, and as I embark on this new journey, I feel an overwhelming sense of hope and excitement for the future that awaits.”

“I am truly grateful to announce that Maghreb Fes will be my new home for the next three years, following my time at Crawley. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone at Crawley for the kindness and support they showed me during my time there.”
“As I step into this promising new chapter, I am eager to connect with the wonderful community in Fes. Together with Maghreb, I hope to achieve great things and bring joy to our fans and management alike.”
Tanimu, who hails from Benin City, began his professional career in 2018 with Bendel Insurance. After spending seven seasons there, he made a switch to the Tanzanian Premier League side Ihefu FC, which later became Singida Black Stars, in February 2024.
In September 2024, he moved to Crawley Town on a two-year deal. During his time with the club, Tanimu made ten appearances across all competitions in a season that ultimately ended in relegation from League One.
