Bayelsa Queens have been crowned the champions of the Nigerian Woman Football League (NWFL) for the sixth time after a commanding 4-1 victory over Naija Ratels in their final Super Six match at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.

Following an unbeaten run in the regular season, where they recorded 10 wins and four draws from 14 matches, Bayelsa Queens maintained their impressive form in the Super Six, edging past seven-time champions Rivers Angels 1-0 in a thrilling South-South derby.

The Prosperity Girls went on to draw 1-1 with Nasarawa Amazons in their second match, then secured a 2-0 victory over debutants Remo Stars, taking them to seven points.

However, their 17-game unbeaten streak came to an end with a narrow 1-0 defeat to defending champions Edo Queens, leaving them a point behind Nasarawa Amazons and level on points with Edo Queens who were second.
