Super Eagles forward Tolu Arokodare has officially signed with FIFA-licensed agent Christian Emile, amid growing interest in the striker following a standout season with Belgian side Genk.

The 24-year-old enjoyed an excellent campaign in the Belgian Pro League, registering 23 goals and five assists in all competitions. His performances played a key role in helping Genk top the regular-season standings, although the team ultimately fell short in the championship playoffs, with Union St. Gilloise taking the title.

Despite the setback, Arokodare’s individual brilliance did not go unnoticed. He was awarded the league’s Golden Boot after finishing as the top scorer with 21 goals and also claimed the prestigious Ebony Shoe award, given to the best African player in Belgium’s top flight.

Arokodare carried his club form into international duty with Nigeria. He successfully converted his penalty in a shootout victory over Jamaica as the Super Eagles lifted the Unity Cup in London.

He then netted his first goal for Nigeria in a friendly match against Russia, coming off the bench to equalise and preserve Eric Chelle’s unbeaten run as head coach of the national team.

Following his impressive season, clubs across Europe have shown interest in the in-form striker. However, Arokodare has hinted that he may remain at Genk for at least one more year, with a personal ambition to win the league title after narrowly missing out.

By signing with Christian Emile, Arokodare joins a growing roster of notable players represented by the London and Dubai-based agent. Emile also represents Super Eagles winger Moses Simon and Brentford’s Benjamin Fredrick, who recently made his international debut against Jamaica.

Among Emile’s other high-profile clients are Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman, former Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, and Swedish starlet Roony Bardghji.
