Former NBA and D’Tigers star Al-Farouq Aminu is back in Nigeria with a renewed mission to discover and protect the next generation of basketball talent.
Through the Aminu Goodwork Foundation, he is set to host the AGWF Elite Basketball Camp in Ibadan, aimed at scouting boys and girls with raw potential.
The three-day camp will run from June 13th to 15th, 2025, at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Oyo State, starting daily at 9:00am.
Speaking ahead of the camp, Aminu emphasized his desire to not only discover new stars but to shield them from predatory practices in the sports industry.

“I’m looking for the next talent… the next chief, the next Giannis. Too many young players fall into the hands of fake agents who ruin their careers before they even start. I want to help these kids avoid that and show them their dreams are achievable,” he said.
The camp will offer participants professional coaching, mentorship.
