Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman could make his last appearance for Atalanta this Sunday when they take on Parma, possibly bringing an end to a remarkable three-year spell with the Italian club.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ademola Lookman’s move away from Atalanta “was already planned last summer and will happen this year,” with various top teams in the Premier League, Serie A and elsewhere in Europe eyeing the Nigerian winger.
Ademola Lookman joined Atalanta in 2022 and since then has become one of the key players of the team, scoring 15 goals and providing six assists across all competitions in his debut season.
The following season, Lookman made history, scoring a hatrick to secure Atalanta’s first-ever Europa league title. He also became the first player to score a hatrick in a Europa League final since the competition was rebranded from the UEFA Cup.

This season, he has maintained his excellent form, scoring 20 goals across all competitions for the first time in his professional career while providing six assists, playing a crucial role in Atalanta’s qualification for the Champions League.
Ademola Lookman was left out of Eric Chelle’s Super Eagles squad for the Unity Cup in London and the friendly against Russia, giving him the opportunity to evaluate his options during a pivotal summer as he prepares to make a key decision about his future.
With third place already secured and the title out of reach, Atalanta’s final game against Parma holds little significance for the hosts. However, for the visitors, it’s a crucial clash as they aim to avoid a defeat that could drag them into the relegation zone.
Although Ademola Lookman was rested for Atalanta’s previous league match as Gian Piero Gasperini rotated the squad, the upcoming clash against Parma presents a chance for him to bid farewell to the Atalanta faithful in what could be an emotional evening for both the Nigerian star and the fans.
