‘A dream come true’ – Chiamaka Nnadozie celebrates Paris FC’s first Coupe de France title in 20 years

Super Falcons Chiamaka Nnadozie has described winning the Coupe de France with Paris FC as a dream come true, especially after defying the odds to lift the prestigious trophy.

Nnadozie was the star of the night, making two crucial saves during the penalty shootout to help her team defeat Paris Saint-Germain 5-4 after a goalless draw in regulation time.

Recently crowned the Best Women’s Goalkeeper in Africa, Chiamaka Nnadozie was also instrumental during regular play, pulling off a string of smart saves in the second half to keep her side in the game.

Reflecting on the hard-fought victory—Paris FC’s first major title in nearly two decades—Nnadozie acknowledged the challenges on the road to success but expressed gratitude for the moment.

“Champions of France 🏆🏅. The journey was tough, but the trophy is worth it. A dream come true. I give God all the glory,” she wrote on her social media platforms.

She also extended heartfelt thanks to fans and supporters: “A big thank you to all the Parisian fans and everyone who supported. My Naija people, una too much! Your love and encouragement have been massive. Your support kept me going. Una girl dey loyal.”

Nnadozie joined Paris FC in 2020 from Nigerian side Rivers Angels. Since then, she has grown into one of the top goalkeepers in France and has remained a consistent starter for the club.
