Eighteen teams will compete in the grand finale of the 2025 Olumide Oyedeji Intercollegiate 3×3 Basketball Championship, slated for June 19–21 at the National Stadium, Lagos.
Following intense zonal qualifiers featuring over 100 institutions across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, the top 18 teams will converge in Lagos to vie for the coveted title of King of 3×3.
From the North West, Ahmadu Bello University and Bayero University, Kano earned their spots. The North Central will be represented by the Federal University of Technology, Minna; Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai; and the College of Education, Minna. Flying the flag for the North East are the College for Legal Studies, Yola; Federal College of Education, Yola; and the American University of Nigeria, Yola.

In the South West, Obafemi Awolowo University, Lead City University, and Ladoke Akintola University of Technology will represent the zone.
The South East qualifiers include Caritas University, Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. The University of Benin, Ambrose Alli University, and Dennis Osadebay University are rounding off the list from the South-South.

Tournament founder and Nigeria Basketball Federation board member, Olumide Oyedeji, emphasized that the initiative is part of a broader mission to deepen the culture of 3×3 basketball in Nigeria.
“3×3 is gaining global traction, and Nigeria cannot be left behind,” said Oyedeji. “As a basketball-playing nation, we must leverage the rise of 3×3 to engage more young talents and create pathways to international exposure.”
